Effective project management is about delivering results – on time and on budget. For that to happen, project sponsors, planners, managers and team members must be able to determine what success looks like. Sometimes the focus is on quality, or innovation, sometimes it’s about increasing revenues or lowering costs. Whatever the objectives of the project and business are, skills in planning, managing and executing the project are essential.

Pat Buckna, PMP has been involved in projects since the early 1980′s. He’s been a project sponsor, program manager, team leader, analyst, controller and team member in a variety of environments – from biotech, to telecommunciations, manufacturing to the forest industry, IT to the legal profession. As a consultant, Pat has implemented and audited project and program management offices, designed and integrated project management best practices, as well as coached and mentored project managers and teams for nearly twenty years. He has extensive experience presenting project management courses, including certification training, and tool training (such as Microsoft Project) for both private training organizations and at the post secondary level.
